Interview
The WORST interview process I've ever dealt with. Just a little back story, a recruiter calls/emails me on a Sunday night asking to speak to me because I corresponded with the VP of Biz Ops about roles at Gainsight. First off, I never applied to Gainsight nor have I ever spoken to the VP. This felt a bit odd for me but I was intrigued so I followed up by asking for compensation details. This was because I just started a new role and was in no desire to really leave; I just wanted to hear out Gainsight to see if this is something I wanted to pursue. Never got a reply back. Without scheduling anything, recruiter calls me Monday morning and starts interviewing me. At this point, I'm already frustrated with the process but she assures me I did well and wanted to set me up with the hiring manager. 5 minutes prior to the call, recruiter reaches out with a reschedule. No big deal. Second time comes around, they reschedule AGAIN. I've been professional throughout the whole ordeal but by now, I'm extremely annoyed. Recruiter notifies me of schedule and promised to follow up next week. Never got a reply. I decided not to follow up because it was no longer an opportunity I was looking to pursue since I'm extremely happy in my new role.
I will not be providing the recruiter's name out of respect and courtesy but I really hope you guys revaluate some of the people you hired to do this job. Recruiters make the first impression and can be the determining factor for a negative vibe within your company. It didn't seem like she was even remotely interested in me or Gainsight.
Also, if YOU'RE going to reach out to me, please do not waste my time with this kind of process. Extremely unprofessional and rude.
Was referred to the director of business operations, then spoke with her over the phone and met with her in person. She seemed interested in my profile but did not bother to return my emails. Very unprofessional but after looking at the profiles of the folks in biz ops, it's obvious they were only recruiting people that "walk duck, talk duck, look duck" (and if you look them up on LinkedIn you can find out what I mean here).
