Interview
Complete the online application form then was called for an in person interview. The interview started with asking why I was interested in the role, why I had chosen this area of study etc. then went onto HR questions which were typical STAR format. For the second part of the interview I was given a sheet containing a list of molecules and asked to name all of the types of molecules (aldehyde, ester, nitrile etc.) and to draw and explain the mechanism by which I would generate (for example) a carboxylic acid from an ester.

All day interviews with a variety of people in the dept and support functions . Asked to give a seminar. Had dinner with the group. Very standard process, from speaking to others in similar roles.
