First round/screening interview with external recruiter.
The recruiter read off a script (in an overly obvious way). Not terrible, but just felt very transactional and soulless.
In addition, the recruiter's accent was very strong, and she talked very fast (again, likely because she was just reading from a script) so at times it was very difficult to understand her. I live in NYC so I hear different accents and varying degrees all the time, but this was particularly difficult to follow along.
I would suggest slowing the conversation down so it feels like, well, a conversation, instead of a checklist.
I am unsure what next steps will be but wanted to post this about the first round/screener.
