I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GEICO (Fredericksburg, VA) in Oct 2015
Interview
The process wasn't hard. You take the computer test. If you are a slow learner like me then you`ll fail it. Dont worry! I am here to give you an insight on it, because nobody on here have explained what the computer assessment test is about or like. The software we took the test on is called AmeriMed. You have 3 parts to the test but they are all the same just faster than the previous part. On the left hand side of the screen are the Query (Issues). On the top mid of the screen you see small tabs (claims, service, health etc) Once you see something on the Query screen(with a timer next to it) click on it. Once you open it (let's say its service) go to the top tab that say "service" and answer the questions. Their are 3 maximum questions on each issues. It goes like something like this;
box 1: customer`s name box 2: policy number box 3: where are they from (location).
For example: Hi, my name is John Doe and I have been a costumer for eight years now. I pay $50 monthly. My policy number is 1234567. My family and I lvalue and love your service. I am from Orlando, Florida.
Hint: You don`t have to read the issue (Query) word for word just skim through it and pick out the info that's needed.
I hope this help you with your Claims Rep Assessment test.
I applied online. I interviewed at GEICO (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in Apr 2021
Interview
Fairly Easy, they will ask you situational questions that describe your judgement and will allow, them to understand your rationale in very difficult situations. They describe the role of the position and how you will deal with customers on a daily
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time that you faced a difficult situation and how did you deal with it?
I aced the computer-based test. It was stuff that I knew from my years in retail. During the first interview, I was told that they could not find a manager for the second interview and excitedly told me if I did not hear from them to call them Friday of that week. That day I was sent a denial in an email and was frankly disappointed that they got my hopes up for a second interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at GEICO (Lakeland, FL) in Aug 2020
Interview
Very long interview process. After applying you are invited to do a personality test and run a simulation program to test multitasking. You are then scheduled to do a phone interview that lasts about an hour mostly focusing on what you would do in hypothetical situations and previous work experience. After this, you are scheduled for a role-play interview online which can be very tricky and definitely the hardest part of the interview process, try to read the documents provided thoroughly and take notes. After that you do a video interview with a hiring manager answering further questions. I took me about 2 weeks but you can theoretically schedule everything in the same day.
