Interview
The most challenging interview I have ever taken. Apply online. Received Email for phone interview in less than a week. Standard interview questions and was immediately invited for further action. (if you are not immediately invited for further action you will not be. I applied for this position 3 years ago. I also had 2 other friends apply who were immediately scheduled when I was not) Overwhelming face to face application. Take a look at my break down below.

Question 1
1st. Multitasking program where you listen to recorded information and fill in specific information into program, Some information is in an e-mail format. Timed and difficult to make sure you select the correct tab and input the correct information. 2nd. Typing assessment (typical) 3rd. Problem solving similar to SAT or ACT exam (timed and somewhat challenging)
4th.
Very, Very , Very impressive extensive roll play where you are put in an office alone, given 20 minutes to read instructions on how to do the job. Client folders and claim forms are laid in front of you then.... the phone rings and HR representative pretends to be angry customer, English as a second language ect. I was disarmed at how elaborate this was and the only instruction provided was a 8 page document that you review alone for 20 min. 1st pretend call was broken English customer. "Why you not pay my room bill, me no understand." Then HR rep walked in an hands me a piece of paper that reads. "I listed to your call and want you to type a letter to the customer." Given 5 minutes to hand write letter to customer. 2nd call "My furnace broke and this better get fixed now!" Scramble to find customer's file folder, review for coverage and confirm if policy will cover hotel stay. Customer did not have hotel coverage but fine print ready that if its a furnace problem coverage will cover Hotel. (still not sure if I answered correctly) 3rd call. Customer is in a hotel but wants a suit because he conducts business out of his home. HR dropped off another document to me which was a potential bill from the hotel. Conveyed to customer to only stay in suit one night and normal room 2 nights to not incur out of pocket expenses. When I was done they told me I would be notified in a few business days if I was selected.(not good) Spoke with another applicant in the parking lot who was scheduled for another appointment that week to meet a manager. I was sent an e-mail stating I was not selected 2 days later. (If you are not notified right away you should not expect to get the position.) I knew I had failed after the first call because I did not provide a clear smooth voice of concern and sympathy as well as not answering the hotel room question correct or providing the name of the company that would be conducting the repair. I was surprised and overwhelmed with how elaborate this process was and did a terrible job. I would not have hired me either..... however; if I had known that this was going to happen I am 100% sure I would have been ready and received the position.

Interview
Went through one 30 min and one 60 min phone interview and 2 assessments. Both of the phone interviews were so faceless and it was just question after question. After all that, I wake up to an email saying I wasn't moving on to the last round. Such a Micky mouse organization.

Interview
I applied for the MDP program in the Tristate area at the end of March. As I was prepping for the interview I looked on Glassdoor For tips but from my experience I believe a lot of our experiences will be different depending on where you are applying as my interview timeline seemed to be a little different from some reviews I read. So don’t depend on these reviews to be the exact same interview experience and timeline. One thing i will say is even though the process is long they move through the process fairly
Quickly so as long as you are also applying for other opportunities it won’t feel like such a dragged out process. Most of the time you will get feedback the same day you complete a step. I also did not do a pre recorded hire vue video interview like some people did on here.
1) Contacted by recruiter to send transcript and availability for a preliminary phone interview.
2) spoke with recruiter about general overview on program, reviewed experiences on my resume, why geico and touched on brief leadership experiences from past jobs. Also talked about general job behaviors like how many times were you late and how many times did you call
Out? I suggest answering these as if you never called out or were late because if you answer otherwise you will be called out for it.
3) first sent behavioral assessment with a virtual
Customer service simulation. The next day i was sent the caliper assessment that goes into detail about your personality management style and logical questions.
4) few days later after calipher I was invited to compete a second phone interview a week later where they asked me situational STAR questions and about where else I’m applying and how does geico compare to My other options. This interview seems like they want to get to know about your management style, more in depth information about your leadership experience and how interested you actually are in this position. During this call The interviewer let me know immediately i will be moving on to the next step in the process which is a manager interview.
I’m not sure if this is actually the last step or if this will be role play and then a final interview but from the wording it seems like this will be my last step. But my advice will be don’t depend on these reviews to give you the exact timeline on what to expect because it may differ depending on which location and MDP track you’re applying for. Just be honest and be yourself and don’t overthink it and you should do fine. This is my second time applying and I’m doing very well compared to the first time i applied two years ago and the first time i didn’t make it past the initial first phone interview. So if it’s meant to be and you don’t overly prepare you’ll do great! But don’t overthink it :)

Interview
Had a great interview with the interviewer, and then I was sent tests to take. I took one of the tests and felt I did well, but I was unable to take the second test due to a glitch. I attempted to contact the recruiter about this issue and she did not respond again.
