I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at GEICO (Lakeland, FL) in May 2011
Interview
The interview consisted of several steps. The application process was followed by a skills test on the computer, followed by a face to face interview, followed by another very similar face to face interview, followed by a telephone role play where you work for an Appliance Insurance company and customers call in regarding policy's. Then a side by side monitoring of another call center agent , then a manager interview where they will present the offer. Then you will visit the nurse for a Hair drug test sample that goes back 90 days. This entire process from the skills assessment to drug test was completed in one day.
There are two rounds. The first round is virtual and they ask about your background and if you can handle the process. For the second-round, You will shadow someone for 20 minutes then proceed for a 40 minute interview. There are a lot of situational questions.

You first fill out an assessment test. The assessment test isn't difficult; there are a few parts to it. First is the reading tables section. It asks you a question about the table and based on that you pick one of the four answers. This part is timed so you want to pace yourself a little bit. The other part is picking the statement that describes you the best, then the second-best statement out of three statements. Overall, this did not take long.
