I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GE Aerospace (Cheltenham, England) in Feb 2013
Interview
Applied online, with CV, Cover Letter and motivational questions.
Received a call asking to arrange a phone interview about 2 months later.
Telephone interview was with a line manager, lasted about 30 minutes, asked:
-Give me an overview of the courses you have taken, which did you enjoy the most, and which the least, why?
-Technical details of your final year project
-Technical details + your role in another group project that you liked
-Have you had any control experience before and can you tell me a bit about control theory? (Then asked very in depth questions about the coursework I mentioned, couldn't answer some because I didn't review control theory!)
Overall a different type of interview, but good if you know your technical details!
Will wait a few days to get a response if invited to assessment centre or not...
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Technical questions about last year's control coursework I hadn't reviewed! It was about an inverted pendulum, and we had to make it stable.
Had a behavioral interview using an online program. It went well and primarily focused on STAR method questions. It wasn't person to person which would've been better. They also asked about personal goals and why choose the development program.
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GE Aerospace (Bengaluru) in Dec 2025
Interview
The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) at GE Aerospace is a prestigious, rotational leadership program designed to accelerate your career through technical training (like the Advanced Course in Engineering) and business-critical assignments.
The interview process is rigorous, focusing heavily on leadership potential and technical fundamentals. It typically follows a multi-stage structure that can vary slightly by region (US vs. Europe/Asia), but generally adheres to the following format.

I applied online. I interviewed at GE Aerospace (Cincinnati, OH)
Interview
It was a half day of technical and behavioral interview questions. Technical questions were focused on previous technical and leadership experience, including problems you’ve solved and how you’ve solved them. Behavioral questions were standard, what you would find online. There was a short group interview with other candidates at the end of the process.
