The internship was a posting on the university's career site. They were not looking for my field of engineering but I emailed the representative because my skills fit the internship and she allowed me to apply. The interview was 30 minutes on campus with 2 HR reps. The interview was entirely behavioral, so be prepared to give lots of examples of your experiences. I was not expecting that but I pulled through. I wrote a nice follow up letter thanking them for considering me although my major was not what they were looking for. In the letter, I re-emphasized how my skills could benefit the company and how much I'd love to work for them. I got the offer and it was the best job I've ever had. The people I worked with and the environment were awesome, great company to work for.
