Received the technical assessment 6 minutes after I applied. It requires a video recording after completing some code review questions. That immediately turned me away. Looks as if it is to collect data, impersonable, and because the turnaround was so quick after submission it's clearly automated. No one has even looked at your application or resume. I would rather not waste my time completing an assessment for a company that is not giving me the time to speak with them if they are actually interested in quality candidates.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at G2i
Interview
The technical interview focused on Node.js, where the company began by asking about my experience with backend development and building scalable applications. I was asked to solve practical coding problems, discuss architecture patterns, and explain how I would implement video streaming and real-time features using Node.js, including handling performance, concurrency, and API integration considerations. The interviewer also explored my knowledge of asynchronous programming, error handling, and best practices for production-ready systems.
