I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fullstack Labs in May 2022
Interview
The interview process with FSL was smooth and easy; as a project manager, I had a screening call with a recruiter, a video take-a-home interview, and a final interview with a client.
I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Fullstack Labs (Panamá) in Jan 2023
Interview
They reached out over LinkedIn, then there was an interview with some HR representative, to confirm candidate's information. After this point the salary range was exposed and I declined to continue. You are asked about your pay expectation in your local currency (even though you are supposed to work for US). You are hired through a third party that can hire you locally following up to all local labor requirements. There is no benefit (although they claim meeting labor minimum requirements is a benefit). Salaries are very low compared to a domestic role.
I applied online. I interviewed at Fullstack Labs (Rio de Janeiro) in Aug 2022
Interview
Had an initial interview. Then they sent an email asking to make a one-and-a-half-hour non-stop video simulating a project proposal using JIRA and confluence within a week. Complete project. That is, you have to incorporate the screenwriter, and make the film for an hour and a half without cuts. After having spent 4 days writing the script and a full day producing the film without errors, I sent it to the recruiter, who the next day thanked me, but they chose another candidate. Total waste of time in this selection process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The first interview is generic. Ask about experiences. Nothing technical. The second is to make the hour-and-a-half film and send it to them for analysis.
