I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fullstack Labs
Interview
There was a person responsible to conduct you through all the steps of the interview. He was gentle and cordial. The problem occurred with one of the steps, in which I had to code in Android, recording everything and just by myself, without any human to assist. There was a part in the evaluation in which the unit tests weren't passing, even though I've made the correct algorithm to solve it. There was some class convertion affecting all the tests and it clearly wasn't the purpose of the test (it was supposed to test your algorithm ability skills). Days after the tests, I've received an email telling me I couln't pass to the next phase. I replied that it is not fair, because there was a problem with the tests. However, the person who was in contact with me through all the steps, said he would share with me the technical feedback so I could understand the reason why I couldn't go to the next step of the process. That sharing, however, never happened. They simply didn't care. They want to make all the tests as less human as possible (by not using humans during the interviews) and when there was any issues with the tests, they simply don't care and discard you. That was the impression they gave me after all.
