Interview
Interview process at Freshworks was quite structured and straightforward overall.
The first round was typically with the hiring manager or one of the team managers. This discussion focused heavily on understanding culture fit, communication style, past experience, and how well you align with the team dynamics and company values. It felt conversational and comfortable rather than overly technical.
The second round was with the Senior Manager or Director level leadership. This was more of a stress-testing round where they evaluated problem-solving, ownership, handling pressure situations, customer management, and commercial thinking. The questions were deeper and designed to understand how you approach challenges in real-world scenarios.
The final round was more of a meet-and-greet interaction with leadership and stakeholders. It was relatively relaxed and focused on alignment, expectations, and giving candidates an opportunity to understand the team and work environment better.
Overall, the process was professional, transparent, and well organized. The interviewers were approachable, and the discussions were practical and relevant to the role.

• How would you retain a customer who is looking to churn because their company is facing bankruptcy or financial difficulties?
• Why are you looking to make this career shift?
• What is SaaS cohorting and how would you use cohort analysis in customer retention and growth strategies?
Quick response after reaching out via LinkedIn. The interview was clear, professional, and respectful. No artificial pressure questions – instead, genuine interest in my background and personality. Overall, a very positive impression of the process.
They just had one round for me the guy who interviewed is from account management team. Didnt ask any technical question but was asking about my experience etc. gave unnecessary hype for the role i dont understand why .
