Freelancers Union interview questions

There was a phone interview and a written test which involved drafting responses to freelancer's emails before an in-person meeting. I met at their offices and I was led to believe I had gotten the position, and was given a start date. Sure enough, the start date came and went without hearing from them after following up four times over email and one call attempt. I still have not heard from them to inform me that I did not get the position.
