I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Free Speech TV (Denver, CO)
Interview
There is a perception in interview processes that whatever actions the organization takes during that process are justified and professional because those actions are undertaken by people who already have jobs. This could not be further from the truth. I was astonished by how inconsistent and contradictory the communication was during this interview. This organization has a lot of ground to make up if they want to have a smooth and professional hiring process. At the moment that process is designed to be indifferent to the time and energy of their applicants. I would have declined an offer if one was made after seeing how poorly they conducted themselves in their interview process. Sad.

Question 1
What is your comfort level working for an organization with a mission rooted in liberal causes?
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Free Speech TV (Denver, CO) in Dec 2021
Interview
I think this is a cool company and I like what they do but the interview process was ridiculous and discouraging.
After receiving my resume, they sent me two questions and asked that I film video responses to them. After receiving my video responses, they had me do an interview with 3 of their staff members. After the interview, they requested 3 references and spoke with all of them. 10 days after they spoke with my references, they contacted me to let me know that they had to delay choosing a candidate but that they were still interested. 2 weeks after this, they informed me that they had chosen another candidate but that they had a different, hourly position they wanted me to apply for and that they would contact me when they were taking applications for the position.
I regularly waited weeks before receiving replies about this new position and it took over 2 months from the time I was rejected from the first position and told about the second before I actually did an interview for the second position. After I finally did an interview for the second position, I didn't hear back for 2 weeks and when I reached out, I was told that they were still deciding on a candidate and that I'd hear back soon. Two weeks after that, they reached out to tell me that they had gone with another candidate.
So overall, I interviewed and stayed in contact with this employer for over 4 months and ended up not receiving an offer.
