I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Franchise Management Services (Berlin, MD) in Jun 2020
Interview
The interview process was amongst the strangest I’ve ever been on.
It started with a standard first interview at a random Dunkin location.
Afterwards, I advanced to the second interview where it took place at their corporate office in Berlin.
I did get a third interview with the owner. The owner told me to drive 1.5 hours away to a remote McDonald’s location, for a very informal interview for a fairly, formal job.
The owner then proceeded to offer me a Store manager position. Mind you, I am on my third and final interview and as well drove 1.5 hours (3 doing trip) to meet him at McDonald’s.
I turned down the offer.
I think this company needs better communication.
Why would you waste an applicants time fo reject what they are applying for? And proceed to final interview?
After talking with the owner, it became very apartment.
They advertise District Manager positions, to fill their applicant pool- to which they offer store manager positions too those candidates.
They have about 55 store, and the owner mentioned 8-9 current District Managers.
So, they aren’t even hiring?
It was a rather odd experience.
However, the first two interviews went well. But I would suggest to remain cautious of this company wasting some of your time.
