On 22nd September 2020, I applied for the open position of Senior Consultant at Fractal Analytics Gurgaon. Within a day, On 23rd Sept 2020, I received a call from HR and discussing about my current Role, Responsibilities, Experience , Current CTC, Expected CTC and asked me to attempt an online Test on DoSelect for Senior Consultant Role along with the JD of Senior Consultant. It was a MCQ test and I attempted it on the very same day and confirmed back to the HR, but haven't heard back from her for few days. On 28th September 2020 at 10:15 in the morning, I received the call from the HR that I have cleared the test and would like to take the process ahead with me. And, the technical round is scheduled at 11:00 in the morning (on the same day within 45 mins) for the Senior Consultant Role. I received the call from the interviewer who has good knowledge and was friendly. The interview was based on skill testing and complete technical round. Later he jumped on to some business case studies as well. It was a good experience with him and It went well. On the very next day, 29th Sept 2020 at 10:00 in the morning, I received a call from the HR and congratulated me for clearing the first round and confirmed that she will be scheduling the second round Business round for Senior Consultant role either on 1st Oct or 2nd Oct (National Holiday) based on the interviewers availability. But i haven't heard back from her till 1st Oct evening. On confirming, I got to know that she could not schedule it. She will be scheduling it soon. On 7th Oct 2020, the HR called me to inform the Business round has been scheduled for the next day (8th Oct) for the Senior Consultant role. On 8th October , the interview was conducted, it was based on my profile , work, role and then some business cases. It went well. On 13th Oct 2020, later in the evening at 9 PM, the HR called me and confirmed that I have cleared the business round of Senior Consultant role and will be scheduling the HR round early in the morning of the next day. On 14th October 2020 , I kept on waiting after joining the meeting . After waiting for 15-20 minutes. I received call from both the HRs (Recruiter HR and HR interviewer) that she had to postpone the interview to the second half of the day as she got busy with something and it was scheduled at 4 PM on the same day. The HR round was generic asking about personal life experience, where do you see yourself , skills, etc. It went well. At the end of the call , she confirmed that she will be sharing the feedback with the recruiter HR right away and the offer will be released in a day or two. On the very next day, the 15th Oct 2020, early in the morning, the Recruiter HR called and congratulated me confirming that I have made through all the rounds asked me to share my 3 months pay slips, Offer letter of the current employer. I haven't heard back from her after that. On 21st October (Today) in the morning, she offered me the same compensation as I am currently drawing from my current employer. I was shocked and on negotiating a bit, she offered me 5% hike. (LOL). On confirming she said this is the highest package she could offer. To my shock, on confirming she said i am being considered for Consultant role (the whole process was for Senior consultant role) and this is the maximum package for a consultant. She hasn't informed me when this profile got changed while the JD , the interview and everything clearly mentioned Senior Consultant role. I declined the offer as I got highly disappointed with this. Fractal betrayed me not only with the compensation but also with the job designation. On each mail invite, JD, selection , they clearly communicated for the Senior Consultant role and i don't know when it got changed to Consultant. Highly Disappointed with this .. Advice - Guys, please keep on confirming the JD at each and every step especially with Fractal. They were so sure about it till clearing the HR round. But during the time of salary discussion, the role changed from Senior consultant to consultant.
