The interviewer was really nice, it took place over Zoom. I was able to speak to a lot of the experience I have but I wasn’t able to negotiate salary/hourly because they didn’t send me the offer before I was supposed to start.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ForestEthics in Dec 2023
Interview
I had an excellent experience applying for this fully remote position with Stand.Earth. Step 1 was a skills assessment that was interesting and not too difficult, and I was compensated for my time. First interview was over Zoom with Communications Director and two other comms staff. Second Zoom interview got more into particulars of the role with generous time for my questions. Received the offer about 10 days later. The process from application to offer took just over a month, with regular and prompt contact with HR and the Comms Director, so I never felt like the process was stalled. Accessibility accommodations were available for the application and skills assessment.
I was very impressed by this process. Everyone I was in communication with was friendly, flexible and clear. The Comms Director made the offer in a Zoom meeting and was warm, complimentary, enthusiastic and made me very excited for the role. The benefit package was excellent and gave me the impression that they really support their remote employees. I was sorry to have to turn down the offer.

Interview
The interview process began with me receiving an email from the organization. They had shortlisted my application for the Forest Eye Intern role due to my relevant qualifications and experience. The interview was scheduled at a time that was convenient for me.
On the day of the interview, which was virtual, I made sure to dress professionally and arrive early to show my punctuality and seriousness about the role.
The interview itself was concise, lasting for a relatively 40 minutes. This efficiency was appreciated as it showed respect for my time, and it also indicated that the interviewers were clear about what they were looking for in a candidate.
