I personally got an email from the recruiter to apply for the position so, I did just that. I have been in communication with the recruiter for some time now. He wanted to interview me for an internship months ago, but he never replied to actually schedule it. However, I wanted to see what opportunities are there at Ford.
-Day of-
The same recruiter was running late which is actually a pet peeve of mine. Ford seems to have a list of questions that they have interviewers ask. The interview started off as 'Why do you want to work for Ford?. My mistake is that I talked to broadly about Ford, which made the recruiter think that I wanted to do that instead of what the job actually was. Apparently people do not have diverse interests.
The questions were pretty simple and behavioral in general. Some leadership questions and questions such as what have you done? how will you act? were asked. I finished the last question. I admittedly will say that I didnt finish as strongly as I could have but, I think its the last part of the interview that really resonated with me. He abruptly finished it, briefly told me the next steps and then WITHOUT LETTING ME ASK HIM ANY QUESTIONS (an important part of the process obviously).....basically rushed me out of the room. From my part, I didn't think it'd be a good fit either but thoroughly completing the interview process is proper protocol.
The interview should have lasted 45 minutes, but I was there for maybe 20 minutes.
Guess they won't be extending an offer to me.
