I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Flight Centre Travel Group (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2025
Interview
I have been in the travel industry since 1988 and have worked on-sites, VIP travel, group travel as well as after hours. I had previously heard and read reviews about this company being racist and having issues with age. I did get called for an interview and the recruiter came on and I could tell immediately it was going to be a no. Honestly, I had already accepted an offer somewhere else but decided to go through with the interview because it had already been scheduled. The recruiter rushed me through the interview process and it was obvious she didn't care at all about me being more than experienced. Please keep in mind this company is based in places like South Africa and Australia. 60 Minutes or 20/20 needs to look into the hiring practices of this company. I think the reputation they have about being racist maybe something that needs to be explored. Pay close attention to the reviews of the company.
