      I interviewed at Fiserv

      Interview

Let me start of by asking why is it that the hiring process is so difficult even if it's just for the smallest job opportunity. I think you need to spray some sage on you, count your lucky stars and say a couple prayers before you walk in the building and that's even if the HR recruiter gives you the opportunity to invite for an interview. I broke down the 233k process into steps just so you can see what I'm referring to: 1. Applied to 3 open positions I found on Indeed 2. A week later i received an e-mail from the HR recruiter letting me know that she wanted to talk to me about 1 of the open positions I applied to. 3. 2 days later the HR recruiter finally called me to ask m e the usual screening questions they do to see if your worthy of being invited to an interview with the department managers. 4. 2 days later I went to the interview where I had to meet with 2 of the department mangers that asked me the same screening questions that the HR recruiter asked me which i answered to the same way that I answered the HR recruiter's questions. Then 1 of the mangers showed me around the building and walked me out and she stated to me that I would receive a confirmation e-mail from the HR recruiter at the end of the week with the starting date and hiring information. 5. 2 days later and passed and I did not receive said confirmation e-mail from the HR recruiter so I had to call the HR recruiter and leave her a voicemail to call me back but the HR recruiter never returned my call or send me an e-mail with any information. 6. Received an auto-generated from Fiserv around 2:00AM the following day saying that my application was denied because apparently I was not selected for the position which I thought that was a mistake especially since I knew the interview went great and I believed the whole process was going rather smooth. 7. 2 days later i finally end up getting a text message from the HR recruiter saying sorry that my call was not answered and then letting me know that I should have received a notice letting me know about my application the day the HR recruiter was supposed to send my confirmation e-mail which is not true since i received the auto-generated e-mail a day later at 2:00AM. 7. Curious I decided to ask the HR recruiter as to why my application was denied and I couldn't believe the response afterwards as the HR recruiter stated that the 2 department managers said I had not answered any of their screening questions to their satisfaction. So now I'm left wondering if maybe they confused my information with another candidate that they confused me with or maybe they truly just didn't believe that I should be working there but now I have no idea.

      Question 1

The HR recruiter will ask you general previous experience questions and the common question that the majority of HR recruiters ask, what makes you a good candidate for this position.
