Awkward. Met with head of department during lunch break. Entire interview process was meeting with four people for most of one day. While meeting with department head and being provided food, department head talked without any real direction. It was actually difficult to see what he was trying to ask or to share. When he did expect a response from me, it was often right after I had taken a bite of my sandwich. After thirty minutes, the department head said he needed to leave. I asked him if he was able to gather anything from the interaction and I said, "I am not sure what we accomplished here, but hopefully I was able to explain I can do the job." By no surprise, I was not provided an offer. It was actually a somewhat humiliating experience.
