The interview process started out typically. There was a recruiter screen, a peer interview, and then a hiring manager call. I really enjoyed the conversations throughout, but I wasn't given any updates for two weeks after the hiring manager call. Obviously, this wasn't a good sign until the recruiter reached out and advised she was "looking forward to checking in to provide updates." The recruiter proceeded to schedule a video call later in the week only to let me know they weren't moving forward and wasn't able to provide specific feedback. Honestly, I couldn't have been more surprised. Who schedules a video call just to reject you face-to-face without providing any specific feedback? You can't make this up!
Standard, 1st call with HR, then meeting with Hiring Manager. I was contacted by a 3rd party recruiter for the role. Communication was not the best and required me to follow up. Both the company and the recruiter felt out of touch.
