      Enterprise Account Executive Interview

      14 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FireMon

      Interview

The recruiter and Country Manager described two materially different roles. In the first conversation, the position was presented as an Account Executive role with responsibility for closing deals. In the follow-up call, I was told I would not be closing pipeline at all, effectively reframing the role into an SDR-style position. The job description also states the role is fully remote, yet one of the first interview questions focused on how often I would visit clients on-site, with examples given of client visits occurring up to three days per week. This is not a remote role by any reasonable definition. Several concerns raised in existing reviews became evident within a single 30-minute call, including an outdated sales approach and a lack of clarity around how the product is evolving. When asked directly about product direction, answers were vague and inconsistent. I received a rejection email, but I would not have continued regardless, as the role being interviewed for did not match what was originally advertised or discussed. Candidates should be aware that the scope, responsibilities, and working model may change during the interview process.
