Confusing and frustrating. They listed their position on their website, but they did not tell me until after 2 phone screens that it was for a contract position. Eventually it would be FTE, according to the recruiter.
Had a horrible phone screen with another instructional designer/course developer in the UK. I really thought I bombed it. At that point, I decided to bow out. The recruiter called me back a month later, now telling me it's an FTE position. I had accepted another offer at that point, and declined to continue interviewing.
If you decide to interview with FireEye for any position, confirm if it's either FTE or contract. This can help you decide if you want to go through with the process instead of wasting your time.
