I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fintastic (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in May 2024
Interview
- Phone call with the CTO
- Zoom technical coding interview with an engineer
- Onsite interview with VP R&D and CTO
- Onsite interview with CEO
The position was changed to "Senior Backend Engineer" when the process started, which is not what they advertised/posted.
The process was pretty easy and straightforward. After the interview with the CEO, they sent a rejection email without real explanation which is weird since I was a top candidate. Not a nice way to treat someone at this stage.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Q: describe your technical background (was generally asked on each step)
Q (tech interview): parse a text file using python. the interviewer made some questions on the go and said he didn't have enough candidates to run this interview on and was still shaping this process.
Q (VP R&D & CTO): describe a project you worked on.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Fintastic (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Jul 2022
Interview
First interview was with Development leader. Since a person is backend-oriented, we had a general self-introduction and some tech discussions.
A second interview (zoom) with two Frontend guys.
Also a general introduction, followed by tech questions.
