The first interview was with a manager. He did a pair programming exercise. I had never done this before. He seemed excited and set up a second interview on the spot. I was going on vacation this next week but decided to set it up anyway because I thought it went well. The second interview consisted of five individuals from all different expertise. They were really nice a friendly. They did what was called a code smell. Again something new to me. My brain went blank but at the end of the interview one of the developers made a point to say not to think I did bad because she thought I did well. Then they all joked about their own experiences. That was the end. I had high hopes but received a letter the next day saying all the negatives about the interview. For a company who said I did well, the have broken my trust. Who does that. Anyways if was a strange interview filled with false hope.
I can't say it was a bad experience. All of it was new to me making it more difficult. Also the false hope killed me as I'm a very trusting, open and honest individual.
