I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Filestage in Mar 2025
Interview
I recently interviewed for a position at Filestage, and overall, it was a positive experience. My first interview was with Robbie Blue, who has been the kindest and most empathetic interviewer I’ve encountered in my professional career. He was friendly, transparent, and took the time to explain the role and Filestage’s product in detail. I also appreciated that he provided active feedback during our conversation and his kindly recommendations.
For the technical test, I received a PDF asking me to prepare a presentation outlining two use cases for a data engineering architecture involving Salesforce and other technologies. The task was quite open-ended, with no clear definition of the expected outcome or the estimated time commitment. Personally, I chose not to spend more than 3 hours on it due to work and personal commitments, though I recognize this may have put me at a disadvantage compared to candidates who could dedicate more time. Ultimately, I was informed that I wouldn’t move forward in the process because other candidates’ submissions were stronger—a fair but slightly frustrating outcome, given the ambiguity in expectations.
In summary, the interviewer was exceptional and the process would be better by setting clearer scope and time expectations to ensure fairness, in my honest opinion.

Question 1
Two tasks, one for usage data and other for analysis and reporting answering the questions on a presentation with slides.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Filestage (Stuttgart)
Interview
Multiple-stage interview process with a task to complete. The interviewers were friendly, I enjoyed the journey although the task did take quite a lot of time to complete. In the beginning the main focus was getting to know you with questions like tell me about yourself, why are you a good fit at Filestage. Afterwards, especially from the task stage onwards, the questions got very technical and practical. I was able to share about myself and the way I like to work and ask my questions at the end.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Filestage in Apr 2024
Interview
I was very fortunate to have gotten an exceptional candidate experience from the start. Robbie (Head of People), has been very personal and attentive throughout the process and kept to the expectations that he laid out. The task was somewhat long / took some time and even though they said I did an exceptional job, I still wish they gave me more feedback to work with, I think overall it came down to timing as well, so submit your take home task as soon as you can not to be at the end of the line when it comes to the next rounds. Kudos to their talent process and experience, big well done!
