Filestage interview questions

I recently interviewed for a position at Filestage, and overall, it was a positive experience. My first interview was with Robbie Blue, who has been the kindest and most empathetic interviewer I’ve encountered in my professional career. He was friendly, transparent, and took the time to explain the role and Filestage’s product in detail. I also appreciated that he provided active feedback during our conversation and his kindly recommendations. For the technical test, I received a PDF asking me to prepare a presentation outlining two use cases for a data engineering architecture involving Salesforce and other technologies. The task was quite open-ended, with no clear definition of the expected outcome or the estimated time commitment. Personally, I chose not to spend more than 3 hours on it due to work and personal commitments, though I recognize this may have put me at a disadvantage compared to candidates who could dedicate more time. Ultimately, I was informed that I wouldn’t move forward in the process because other candidates’ submissions were stronger—a fair but slightly frustrating outcome, given the ambiguity in expectations. In summary, the interviewer was exceptional and the process would be better by setting clearer scope and time expectations to ensure fairness, in my honest opinion.
