I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Fifth Third
Interview
The interviewer was very nice and accommodating. The interviewer made me feel comfortable and was very open to extensive questioning. Since I was referred, I think the questions were more relaxed. I run a business on the side, and that is against 5/3 policy, so I could not be considered unless I agreed to give that up at least temporarily.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Fifth Third (Cincinnati, OH)
Interview
Applied online. Met with recruiter who passed me to interview with the hiring manager. Interviews went well and was invited to meet with 3 others in person at the Cincinnati HQ location.
Interviewers were nice but the third person I met didn’t come to the office so I met with them virtually.
Interviews I thought went well and kept in touch with the hiring manager for a bit before he eventually ghosted me.
Recruiter reached out and offered me an interview for a similar position. Met with that hiring manager then got ghosted by both.
Ghosting is incredibly frustrating and is poor practice in the hiring process. If I’m not chosen please tell me. Feedback for why I wasn’t chosen helps too. What did I say or do (or didn’t say) that caused me to get passed over?
When you fit all the qualifications of the job and have good interviews, getting ghosted in the end is a disrespective action.
