I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Fieldscale (Thessaloníki, Western Macedonia) in Apr 2018
Interview
That's not a recent review (was in 2018), but I bumped into this company on glassdoor and I had to add it. Even though the interview went smoothly and everybody was very nice and respectful at first, when the CTO came to the interview room, he had my CV on his hands (he obviously hadn't read it) asked my a few questions about my previous background and at the end criticised my choice to make a career swift into tech and that I should go for a walk and think about it again. I never understood why they called me for an interview, as one of the main interviewers hadn't even read my CV previously. He was going through it during the interview and after he read it all, he basically said "do something else". I have never had a worst interview experience, and that was my very first in the tech industry. Luckily, I didn't follow his advice, but I wonder what would have happened to a different person that would follow it even though they really wanted to do that job. I would never work and follow the lead of a person that has an opinion on my life and career choices. I was a beginner dev back then and I probably did not know how to properly write a CV either or make it through an interview, plus I was terrified that I had decided to make a career swift when I was 25 so I was very anxious during the interview. That doesn't give anybody the right to be disrespectful, people learn from interviews and they need a valuable advice and feedback from tech leaders to follow their dreams, not to abandon them. I really hope fieldscale improved on their interviews since then, if not I really hope this is a valuable feedback for them too.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Typical python questions and small coding tests through a code tests platform. Also a few general questions on geometry. Can't recall any HR questions to be fair, we went straight to the technical ones.
Interviewers were very friendly and asked some questions about my current degree in engineering, as well as my experience on programming (functional and OO python) from personal or university projects.

Interview
Applied online around mid to end of February 2017. Initially, there was a phone screening, but given the fact that I was living at the time in the same town of the company offices, I was asked to go on-site for an interview. The interview consisted of 50+ multiple choice C/C++ questions (!). It was made quite clear to me that regardless of my replies to this questionnaire, there will be a follow-up in the future. My CV was reviewed briefly at that moment. On top of all of those events, I had to complete this questionnaire in the kitchen of the company. Several days passed with no follow-up. I sent in total 3-4 follow-up e-mails and never received a proper explanation or reply on the reasons my application is not going to move further. Awful experience for a fresh graduate. Companies like these and their behaviour towards candidates are the main reason greek graduates are moving abroad.
