I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fielding Graduate University in Feb 2023
Interview
Contacted by an HR rep through email after applying to the job listing which I found on ZipRecruiter. The rep used a software program called Calendly to set up the date and time. This software was new to me but turned out to be easy to use.
The interview was a straight phone screening (no video). There were no real surprise questions but I felt that the interviewer was very disengaged. It seemed like they were just reading questions off a list and this was very demotivating, as I got the impression the interviewer did not care about me as a person and was not invested at all in what they were doing (at least on an emotional level). Something else that turned me off was that I asked about the training program and the HR rep said that the training was ongoing and that as a new hire, there would be a lot coming my way. This made it seem that candidates would be overworked from the very beginning.
I got a follow-up email just under a week later which stated that I had not been selected for the first round of interviews but that they were keeping my resume on file should something not work out with the chosen candidates. After this, just under a month went by before I received another email saying I did not get the job - this email was very impersonal and felt mass-produced.
Overall, this experience was just kind of disappointing. It felt like I had put too much effort into interviewing for an employer who would ultimately not care about me.
