Negative experience. Knew within the first few minutes of the call that the culture of the company was pretty dire.
Unfortunately I had a few technical issues trying to log onto the interview but thankfully this was all resolved in a few minutes. However, it looked like by that stage I had already lost the interest of the interviewers. I felt like I was sat in a principals office. There was no small talk or selling of the company and the role, as most interviewers would do. It was just questions being fired at me and although I was answering everything well and clearly had the experience, the interview came to an abrupt end. There was no justifiable reason for this other than the fact both interviewers had a bee in their bonnet over the technical issues at the start of the call.
Emailed the recruiter straight away telling her to cancel my application with them. According to many recruiters I've spoken with they are known to be like this and not many recruitment companies out there like dealing with them as new employees usually leave quite quickly and this results in the recruiters not getting their commission. Their staff turnover is meant to be extremely high.
Word of advice, when conducting interviews over zoom, teams etc. please allow for the possibility that there may be technical issues on the candidates end. These are beyond people's control most of the time and a little understanding goes a long way.
