Screening call and first stage interview were pretty standard. The second stage interview was in person with a Senior partner, lasted for 1hr 30mins. Had to give a presentation and then answer questions. The type of questions asked and the general attitude of the senior partner was very telling. Interviews work both ways and the mask was already slipping. Questions about loyalty, work gossip, responding to his bad mood and already trying to agree to make a commitment to working outside work hours. Consultants are generally compensated for the long hours with their salary, however a 35-40k assistant job doesn't compensate having to stay late and come in on weekends.
If you have any prior commitments outside of work, that are non-negotiable, avoid this company. It definitely seems like a work/life balance isn't encouraged.
