1) virtual recorded answers interview: ~11 question's to video record your answers too. Pretty good questions that you don't always have time to fully answer in a normal live interview so I didn't mind.
2) virtual panel interview: straight through 1.5 hour meeting first with hiring manager, then with similar role teammate, then with cross functional teammates.
Questions were over all very easy, no curveballs.
Didn't hear anything for a few weeks after video recording but followed up directly when the role was reposted and was moved to the next round.
Had very good conversations and was pretty interested in the role. Then it got weird, I had a call with the recruiter about how they're actually going to be filling this role with 2 people and I'm in the top 2. Then had a check in call with the hiring manager and they actually didn't have approval for a 2nd fill and they've already filled the original role a month ago. Was promised a follow up even if the update was there is no update within the following week and heard nothing.
Accepted another position and removed myself from consideration.
Pay is very under market and there isn't any room for negotiation because they don't want to upset current team members by bringing you in at a different level.
