Great interview. Very detailed. Wanted to know about my sales background and technical skills. Why I was leaving current job and what compensation I was expecting. My plan for client retention.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Fenway Group (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2012
Interview
I was brought in as a referral from someone else in the company. I came dressed in professional apparel with several copies of my resume that I spent hours updating. I arrived to find a very laid back and welcoming environment.
The CEO interviewed me in a very informal way asking about my interests and my methods of my work in terms of my work ethic and how others would characterize me. He never asked for my resume and when I tried to provide it he said he does not like resumes. He says he is much more focused on the person themselves and if they feel they would first, fit in with their culture, and second, be successful in the position. He said that I wouldn't be there if I didn't have the experience so I was unsure if it was about my referral vouching for me or not. I later found out that was not really the case, he only knew that I had previously recruited but no other details. It was definitely the most comfortable interview I have ever been on and made me instantly want to be a part of the company.
I was also brought in for a second interview in order to meet the recruiting manager I would be working for and some other team members. I liked that I was able to meet everyone and see around the office before I decided to move forward.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I can't remember specific questions since it was 2 years ago, but there were a few personality and situational questions that were unexpected because I thought the interview was going to be geared more towards my work and not my personality.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fenway Group (Dallas, TX) in Dec 2011
Interview
Based on their current requirement from their client, they pick candidates from the job market and filter based on the resume matching. They also try to have phone interview through one of their consultant to check if you are a possible fit to position. They take you out for lunch and meet in person.
