My interview with FasterMarkets from over 3 weeks ago was disappointing. The interviewer was over 10 minutes late and faced technical issues throughout the call, including a complete disconnection. I spent much of the interview speaking to a black screen and had no opportunity to ask questions.
This experience indicated that this isn’t the right company for me. While technical issues happen, the lack of consideration for my time and absence of follow-up were did leave a good impression. Employers need to remember that their behaviour during the interview process can significantly impact a candidate’s perception.
