      Executive Assistant Interview

      6 Oct 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate

      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I interviewed at Fandom (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Worst interview experience ever. To be treating candidates like this is absolutely appalling. From the get go I was very suspicious due to initial “misleading” parts of the job description. They advertised the job as remote with a salary range of 80k-120k. In the initial screening, they let me know that it was not in fact remote and they would prefer a candidate that lives in the city of SF and that the salary range is more like an upper limit of 110k. Then, they let me know that the remaining process of interviews would include an interview from both executives that you would support, and then one with another EA. After completing all 4 rounds (including recruiter screening) they get back to me and ask to grab lunch with the execs. After grabbing lunch and handing me merch, they ghosted me for 2 weeks to which then they only replied when I said I had another offer. They let me know they were not proceeding with me because it was extremely close with another candidate but they would love to reach out with any future EA jobs. 1 week later they reposted the exact job listing that I had applied for. I then reached out to the recruiter to inquire about why it didn’t work out to which then the recruiter promised to call me to discuss this opportunity AGAIN. I waited the entire day, followed up and was completely ghosted. Extremely unprofessional and unnecessary to lead a candidate on especially in this market. The process was just entirely cruel for no reason.
