I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Falck (Aurora, CO) in Mar 2017
Interview
Applied online, received a request for an interview a couple days later and proceeded to go in for an interview. Interview consisted of a 3 panel and a skills test. The interviewer was what you'd refer to as a 'high-strung' medic who thinks they know it all and no education or ongoing learning is necessary. the interviewers were very cocky and blatantly incompetent. They did not seem interested in qualifications or past experience, all they wanted to know is can you work 12's and 24 hours whenever we need you and are you willing to meet the companies needs. They are hurting for people right now, it seems like a very corporate 'you are replaceable' type of atmosphere so they cannot hire and retain people to run operations efficiently.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In EMS patients can be difficult, what is one example you can provide of a difficult situation that you overcame and didn't let affect your work?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Falck (Petaluma, CA)
Interview
Falck normally holds the interview at the headquarters (Petaluma Station). The interview process is fairly simple. They normally hold group interviews where there are 3 stations. Stations include Oral interview in the office with 2-3 managers, going into a rig with on duty EMTs for vitals demonstration, and the weight lift test. The weight lift test requires you to lift 3 sets of weights from the floor to 3 separate boxes. After the interview, should hear a response in a week. Sometimes managers from the station you are applying to will have you come in for their own mini interview to get to know you.
