I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FX Networks (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2025
Interview
Initially interviewed with HR rep after I submitted my resume with internal reference who made sure my resume/application got pulled. For the initial HR interview, I told my story and talked about my love for the company.
The position was in publicity, which I had no previous experience. I got a second interview with the woman who eventually become my supervisor. That was over zoom, and it went great. She did ask me some hard questions about the publicity, specially the first question was - “what is the difference between publicity and marketing?”
I answered that question and then answered a series of behavioral questions, like what are you working on most or how is working in a top down team environment.
My last interview was over zoom again with the other two publicity directors I would support. In that case, I was asked scenario questions, “what would you do if…?”
I was offered the position; however, the hiring manager didn’t understand what the word “equity” meant. She meant to say I would receive “parity” compensation, but she said “equity” which led me to believe I would be granted stock options at Disney Corp. That was not true.

Interview
The interview process was three rounds, first with Disney HR, then hiring manager, finally a panel interview. It was not overly intimidating, which is maybe more a reflection of the specific team.

Really simple, they just want to see that you're smart and interested in entertainment. It was 3 rounds with three different directors. All behavioral questions like what makes you a leader etc. Just know though that production finance doesn't do production nor finance nor anything creative. They're the middlemen that help with accounting and audit.
