Step 1 - I had to answer five screening questions through email with the HR rep (talent aquisitions). Step 2 - I had a phone screening with the HR rep. Step 3 - Thiry minute interview with the two people hiring an assistant

I had a recruiter screening with 2 recruiters and was asked for my availability to come for an in-person interview within 2-3 days. Then 2 weeks went by with no further communication. Nothing! When I finally contacted them asking for an update and said I was still interested, it took them days to respond, and even then only said they would know more in a week or so. I figured they weren't interested in me, but after 2 more weeks went by with no further updates, I contacted them again just to get some closure. It was only then that they told me they'd hired somebody else. If somebody is interviewed, they deserve to know if they're moving forward in the interviewing process or not. If they're not moving forward, don't string them along, tell them! Plus, I'm sure if I hadn't contacted them, they wouldn't have told me anything. They would have ghosted me. That is just plain unprofessional!
