I applied online. I interviewed at Eyesthetica in Sept 2024
Interview
I had an interview with Eyesthetica, Unfortunately, it was one of the worst interview experiences I’ve ever had. From the beginning, the interviewer displayed a condescending attitude and lacked professionalism throughout the conversation.
Instead of focusing on my qualifications or experiences relevant to the role, the interviewer made several disparaging remarks and asked inappropriate questions that were unrelated to the job, subtly implying that my background was a disadvantage. It felt incredibly demeaning and discriminatory.
The entire process left me feeling humiliated, and I was appalled by the interviewer’s tone and complete lack of cultural sensitivity. It’s 2024, and it's disappointing to encounter such behavior, especially from a medical practice. I genuinely expected more professionalism from an organization like Eyesthetica.
If you value respect, inclusiveness, and professionalism, I would strongly advise thinking twice before applying here. This experience made it clear to me that this isn’t the kind of environment I would want to work in.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
She asked, 'Do you plan to go back to your country?'—making assumptions about me, as if she could judge me however she pleased.
Very negative experience. Interviewed with several different people and had to drive around LA (had to pay for my own parking several times). Interviewed with a manager who implied the salary was one thing — then once I was offered the job, the salary decreased by a large amount. Kind of a bait and switch. People seemed nice for the most part, but one of the guys I interviewed with seemed super full of himself. He kept saying the low pay was worth it because I’d be training with HIM, and he was extremely good at his job… very weird.
