This was an online interview. I was first asked why I wanted to join ExxonMobil, and what I knew about the company. The main body of the interview was more technical than others I had participated in. The candidate had to identify the main components within a simple P&ID of a fractional distillation column. Secondly, the candidate was asked to provide instrumentation to a furnace/heating system. A basic knowledge of heat transfer concepts is required. The interview finished with an opportunity to ask the employers any questions regarding the company/placement.
