I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Experian (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
ML problem and probabilities. The interviewer were nice and patient. He gave hints and was showing engagement. He did mention possibility of overworking. Yet the interview process was poor. Interviewed then never gotten a reply. Sent multiple emails after a couple weeks and still got not reply whatsoever. Just poor execution.
I had high expectations interviewing with Experian given its size and reputation, but my experience was very disappointing. Throughout the process, I was given the impression that an offer would be forthcoming. Based on that, I declined another opportunity in good faith. After multiple follow-ups and extensive engagement, I received no communication for over a month, and then a system-generated rejection.
Additionally, there was inconsistent and inaccurate information shared regarding compensation, which the hiring manager later acknowledged. This created confusion and undermined trust in the process.
For a company of this scale, the lack of transparency and responsiveness was shocking.
2 tech interview via zoom from the same team. Basic ML knowledge and some case study according to that.
Nice Interviewer, quick call for offer after interview.
Took 1 week from 1st round to offer call
Basic question around ML, SQL, data science. Biased towards R, but Python is also tested. You may need to prepare. Management might not know much about Data Science or Machine Learning.
