The phone screener was standard procedure. The following "first round interview" was also relatively normal--three people interviewed me, asking standard technical writer interview questions. Then I moved to round 2. The first attempt at second round interview with the president of the company, Vinod Jayakeerthi, he didn't show up. I rescheduled through HR for a few days later. For the actual interview, the president, immediately called me "hard-headed," with no explanation or reasonable build up to that point. I explained it was an unusual descriptor for me and offered my references for him to contact. The meeting proceeded in a similar manner before I eventually explained that I was no longer interested and ended the call. Was this an attempt to see how a candidate handles pressure? Maybe, but it's an incredibly unprofessional way to do so.
