The screening and initial interview with the recruiter were pleasant and conducted at a high level. However, the second stage, which was a peer interview, was less satisfactory. Peer interviews can sometimes lack professionalism, and I believe hiring interviews should be conducted by individuals with people management experiences.
I was a strong fit for the role, meeting all the requirements. However, the peer interviewer felt it was a concern that I hadn’t held the exact job title before, despite having all the necessary skills and experience. Additionally, the interviewer seemed unfamiliar with the company’s competitors.
