      Customer Service Representative Interview

      17 Aug 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Eventbrite (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2012

      Interview

I applied online and then was contacted by a recruiter to schedule a phone interview with one of the client services managers. A couple of days later, I did the phone interview and the lady was very nice and friendly. It was more conversational and let me know about you, than a strict interview. After the phone interview, a recruiter contacted me to make an in-person interview. I went to the in-person interview the next week and was impressed by the work culture. Everyone was supe friendly and inviting. All four people who interviewed me were more than kind. The interview was two hours and I can tell you I think they are looking for a strong personality more than anything else. This is a small startup company so they ask questions about how you would work with others. After the interview, I was contacted a couple days later through e-mail that I did not get the job. I was confused because in the e-mail I was told that the team loved my enthusiasm and personality, but I wasn't the perfect match. I e-mailed the recruiter to ask for suggestions on how I can improve my resume/interviewing skills and she never replied. I thought that was unprofessional and rude. Although this place seems like an amazing place to work at, there is no racial diversity. Almost all the people in upper management and everyone who interviewed me were white. So if you want to work in a racially diverse environment, you have come to the wrong place. Also, it seems like they are interviewing tons of people so don't think your special if you get a phone or in-person interview. After the first interview, if they like you, you move on to two more 2 hr. interviews. It's definitely a rigorous process.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Eventbrite (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2017

      Interview

Eventbrite was very detail oriented and very thorough to be sure they find the right talent. My process started with a LinkedIn post. Moved on to an initial phone screen which lasted 15 minutes. From there, I had a 3 hour Skype interview with lots of people. Then moved onto a in person interview. They flew me to SanFran and watched how I interacted with the team and asked more questions. Lots of behavioral type questions. "Tell me about a time when...", "When was a time you...", "What would you do if..." type questions.

      Customer Service Representative Interview

      18 Jul 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Nashville, TN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Eventbrite (Nashville, TN) in Jun 2016

      Interview

This was an extremely lengthy and intense interview. It took over a month from start to finish, and if you're not chosen you'll receive a canned email with no feedback. After investing a solid month into research and interviews for the company, it feels like a slap in the face when you're not even told why you weren't chosen. Luckily there are plenty of other tech companies in Nashville with the same exact jobs who won't treat you like a random statistic.
