      Project Manager Interview

      5 May 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at EvensonBest (New York, NY)

      Interview

I was invited by a recruiter to the selection process, everyone I met was nice and we had interesting conversations. I went to 2 interviews and met around 5 people including the president of the company in a solo-interview that lasted more than an hour, she mentioned at the end of our meeting that they will move forward with me because I checked all the boxes and that they will reach out soon. I was expecting a job offer but instead I was invited to a 3rd interview with a team leader, confused I accepted. I went to the 3rd interview but the person who I had the meeting with didn't show up, the office was actually closed at the time they asked me to go. When I informed the recruiter of the situation this person denied it and tried to portray me as a lier, fortunately the recruiter believed me. They knew the entire situation was wrong, and immediately contacted me again to try to book a 4th interview with HR this time, I supposed they were finally going to make an offer but at that point, I was no longer interested and decided to move forward with a different company who also offered me a job. It was a shame as everyone else I met was very nice and we had good chemistry, but the person who lied about me would've been my direct supervisor and I didn't feel comfortable having to work for someone who behaved so unprofessionally. To summarize: I spent 3 months in a very time-consuming process with a very indecisive company that led nowhere.
