I applied online. I interviewed at Essentially Sports (Bangalore Rural) in Jan 2026
Interview
There were a few different tasks, centered around proofreading, fact-checking and editing existing copy, and creating slideshow based content. There was also an editorial judgment section about ranking headlines on a US based website.
All legitimate and interesting exercises. I advanced to the next round, where they requested a 4 hour interview, from 1:30AM to 5:30AM my time on a Friday night/Saturday morning(I'm based in NYC). I declined that time slot, but reiterated my interest to connect on a maybe more mutually convenient time with the India time zone. I never heard back after that.

Question 1
Editing a blurb about Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
Easy and short. Friendly interviewer, good experience. Nothing too challenging. So there's no need to prepare for it. The person asked sbout prior experience and gave a little explanation about the job and whatever it entails. All the best, i think everyone should get it

Question 1
How will you manage the stress that comes with the role
Not very tough, There are two rounds sandwiched between a trial written assignment, which was about creating a 350-400 words article on the given topic. Was pretty structured and straightforward in my case.
