      Account Manager Interview

      3 Oct 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Vancouver, BC
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Escrow.com (Vancouver, BC) in Sept 2025

      Interview

I was a referral from a previous employee. I first received an e-mail from an office manager asking me to clarify some of my credentials before scheduling an interview. Had a really lovely video meeting with Tony, a team leader of the AM team in Vancouver, and discussed my previous experience and the role. As the role was completely onsite, I was asked to come into the office for my second interview, which was fine, though it's at this point a couple of red flags started to appear. I initially thought I had the interview time wrong because the time we agreed on in the e-mail was not the same time as the calendar invite, and so I thought that I was going to be late. When I arrived at the office, the people who were supposed to interview me were not ready. Someone had just gone into another meeting and another person came out of room with a blanket. I tried to make a joke, asking if they were cold, and they told me that they were taking a nap. During the interview, I was very nervous (and said so, mentioning that I had not had an in-person interview since the pandemic) and was asked a lot of general AM questions, which I felt I answered fine. The last question was intentionally vague and I felt as though I did not have enough information to offer an informed and confident answer. In the end, I tried my best, and I left the office a bit uncomfortable. I let them know I'd hope to hear from them and I never heard back.

      Question 1

A new customer has recently completed onboarding. You do not know how they are using the product or what their return on investment factors are (ex. how are they measuring success with the product) How would you go about increasing the revenue from this account?
