      Site Reliability Engineer Interview

      21 Jan 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Alpharetta, GA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Equifax (Alpharetta, GA) in Jan 2025

      Interview

My Experience Interviewing for the Site Reliability Engineer (Security) Position at Equifax While the hiring manager I interacted with was professional and knowledgeable, my experience during the technical interview left much to be desired. Many of the technical questions asked during the process were either irrelevant to the job description or appeared designed to create unnecessary confusion rather than genuinely assessing my qualifications for the role. It’s disheartening to feel that some aspects of the interview process might not be about identifying the best candidate for the job but rather about setting up unnecessary barriers for those outside certain networks. As a skilled and qualified candidate, this was both frustrating and disappointing, especially since I take pride in my expertise and my ability to contribute to a team. To anyone considering applying for this role, especially if you are outside certain groups, be prepared for an experience that might not feel entirely fair or inclusive. It’s unfortunate to encounter such practices in 2025 when inclusivity and merit should be paramount in any recruitment process. Again, the hiring manager was fantastic and represented the company well, but the technical interview process left me questioning whether Equifax values diversity and true expertise in their hiring practices.
