Interview
Initial screening followed by two technical interviews. One was machine learning basics and the other was software. The machine learning side covered basics of statistics and deep learning and the software was standard leetcode style questions.
Had a video call with the HR person. Usually the first, HR screener call is more straightforward, "tell me about your background" kind of stuff, but she asked STAR-type questions ("tell me about a time when x happened, what did you do, etc."

- How do you establish relationships and establish trust with those on your team and in different functional areas? Talk about a time when something went wrong and how that helped.
- Tell me about a time when you had to make a trade-off at a product launch.
- Looking back on campaigns you’ve done, is there one where you would have done something differently?

Interview
The recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn and scheduled a phone interview to discuss the role. This was followed by a hiring manager interview and an onsite interview at Shopee’s MN office. The onsite process included whiteboard coding, HR and hiring manager interviews, and a cross-functional collaboration session. The recruiter was highly communicative and provided detailed guidance, which made preparation smooth. The interview team was exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable.
